What Denka does
Stonework is what we are known for, but we build and maintain the whole yard — hardscape, concrete, planting, irrigation and clean-up — with our own crew and our own material.
01 — Stonework & Hardscape
Stone set to stay set
Flagstone patios, seat walls, retaining walls, walkways, fire pits and BBQ surrounds. We handle the site prep, the base and the drainage, then set the stone — so the finished surface drains away from the house and stays tight underfoot.
- Patios, courtyards and walkways
- Retaining, garden and seating walls
- Fire pits and outdoor fireplaces
- Steps, landings and stone edging
- Site grading and base preparation
- Drainage integrated into the build
Material we set: flagstone, cobble, moss rock, boulders, stacked stone and thin veneer — chosen off our own pallets to match the house.

02 — Water-Wise Conversions
Take the grass out without losing the yard
Riverside water is not getting cheaper, and a lawn in full sun is the biggest line on the bill. We pull the turf, re-grade, and rebuild the yard in decomposed granite, gravel, boulders and planting that still looks like something on a July afternoon.
- Turf removal and haul-off
- DG, gravel and river-rock groundcover
- Boulder placement and dry creek beds
- Native, succulent and low-water planting
- Spray-to-drip irrigation conversion
- Plans laid out for a rebate application
Rebate programs and their amounts change — check current terms with your water district before you count on one.
Ask about this03 — Concrete & Flatwork
Flatwork that takes the sun and the traffic
Driveways, slabs, steps, sidewalks and equipment pads. The finish is the part you see; the sub-base compaction, the joint layout and the transitions into stone are the part that decides whether it is still flat in ten years.
- Driveways, slabs and sidewalks
- Steps, landings and mow strips
- Broom, stamped and exposed-aggregate finishes
- Integral colour and saw-cut patterns
- Pads for sheds, spas and utilities
- Clean transitions into stone and turf
Poured over a compacted sub-base with proper control and expansion joints.

04 — Design & Installation
The whole yard, one schedule
Front yard, back yard, or both. We start with a walk-through and a plan you can actually read, then build it — grading, hardscape, irrigation, planting, lighting and clean-up — with one crew and one schedule instead of five trades you have to chase.
- Landscape plan and material selection
- Grading and soil preparation
- New lawns — sod or seed
- Trees, shrubs and bed planting
- Low-voltage path and accent lighting
- Final clean-up and a walk-through
You pick the stone, the mulch and the DG at our yard before installation starts.
Ask about this05 — Irrigation & Drainage
Water where you want it, gone where you do not
New drip and spray zones, valve and controller work, and the drainage side nobody thinks about until it rains: area drains, downspout tie-ins and re-grading so storm water leaves the house instead of standing against the slab.
- Drip and spray zone installation
- Valve, head and controller repair
- Spray-to-drip conversions
- Area drains and channel drains
- Downspout and roof-water tie-ins
- Re-grading to move water away
Existing system? We will test every zone and tell you what actually needs replacing.

06 — Trees, Shrubs & Clean-Up
Keep it looking finished
Planting, pruning, shaping and removal, plus the clean-up work that resets a yard: bed edging, fresh mulch, debris haul-off and seasonal maintenance on whatever rhythm suits you.
- Tree and shrub planting
- Pruning, shaping and thinning
- Removal and stump work
- Bed edging and mulch refresh
- Seasonal and one-time clean-ups
- Scheduled maintenance plans
Mulch and soil come from the same yard, so a refresh is a truck trip, not a delivery fee.
